The mission of EPICS (External Programs, Internships, & Career Services) is to support undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Communication (SoC) to navigate their career interests by providing personalized guidance, comprehensive resources, and opportunities to create meaningful connections with alumni and industry professionals. We demystify industries and career paths while fostering an environment that promotes serious play, resiliency, and confidence to prepare students for life beyond Northwestern. 

Students

The EPICS staff are dedicated career professionals who offer guidance to help students attain their career goals at every stage and are committed to helping students unlock their potential and achieve career success, all while embracing the authenticity and uniqueness of each student’s journey. We empower students to discover their talents, skills, and passion to design a meaningful professional life whether you want to be a storyteller, performer, content creator, marketer, advertiser, strategic communicator, or speech therapist, or communication scientist. 

EPICS supports undergraduate students in the School of Communication, as well as to graduate students in five master’s programs: MA in Sound Arts and Industries, MFA in Documentary Media, MFA in Writing for the Screen and Stage, MS in Communication, and MS in Leadership for Creative Enterprises.
